Perfect Stays

Find Your Perfect Stay

What is a host?

1. What It Means to Be a Host

A Host on Stayza is an individual or business that lists an accommodation for travellers. Hosts are essential to our community — they create memorable experiences for guests by offering safe, comfortable, and authentic places to stay.

Whether you manage a lodge, guesthouse, or private apartment, becoming a host allows you to connect with travellers across Zambia and beyond while earning income through your property.

2. Host Eligibility

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must own or have legal rights to manage the property being listed.
  • Must provide accurate personal and contact information during registration.
  • Must comply with all local laws and tax obligations relating to hosting.

3. Host Responsibilities

As a Host, you agree to:

  • Provide complete and accurate property descriptions, photos, and amenities.
  • Keep your pricing, availability, and house rules up to date.
  • Respond to booking inquiries and messages promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure your property meets health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Respect guest privacy and treat all guests fairly and without discrimination.
  • Manage check-ins, cancellations, and refunds according to your listing’s policy.

4. Host Conduct

Stayza maintains a respectful and trusted community. Hosts must:

  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with guests.
  • Not engage in fraudulent, misleading, or abusive activity.
  • Never request or accept direct payments outside of the Stayza platform.
  • Refrain from listing unsafe or illegal properties.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

Hosts must clearly specify their cancellation policies. If a host cancels a confirmed booking, it may negatively affect their listing’s ranking and credibility. Stayza reserves the right to withhold payouts or impose penalties for repeated cancellations.

6. Payouts & Fees

Hosts receive payouts directly from Stayza after the guest’s check-in date, minus applicable platform fees or taxes. Payment processing may take 1–3 business days depending on your bank.

7. Reviews & Ratings

Guests may leave reviews after their stay. These reviews are public and influence your visibility on the platform. Maintain good communication and hospitality to encourage positive feedback.

8. Account Suspension

Failure to comply with hosting standards or repeated guest complaints may result in temporary or permanent account suspension. Listings found to violate local laws or platform policies will be removed without notice.

9. Our Commitment to Hosts

Stayza is dedicated to supporting its hosts. We provide secure payments, transparent booking tools, and dedicated customer support to help you succeed as a hospitality partner.
